Reiki is a simple technique for transferring healing energy from the giver to the receiver. The ability to bring about healing during Reiki treatments is gained through receiving attunements. The energy attunements open a channel in the giver for energy to flow through to wherever the receiver is most in need of it. This stimulates the body‘s own natural healing process, relieving physical aches and pains lifting depression, dissolving stress and bringing a deep and lasting sense of peace and relaxation. The same way that a plant takes up water, the energy is absorbed, going straight to the source of any problem in a completely natural and nourishing way, without the need for diagnosis or interference. This can occur on a physical, mental, emotional or spiritual level. Reiki brings all aspects of the receiver’s being into harmonious balance, according to the individual’s needs.

There is no need to remove any clothing, the practitioner places their hands in a sequence of positions over the body, energy is channelled to depleted or blocked areas of the body. Everyone depletes their own natural energy in a normal day’s activities, however when the body’s energy system is overworked physical, mental, emotional or other symptoms may develop.
